Tonneau Covers in Ajax
A tonneau cover keeps cargo dry and out of sight, and cuts aerodynamic drag enough to show up on the fuel gauge over a year of highway driving. Ajax drivers mostly run family SUVs, minivans and trucks, which shapes what makes sense here.

Driving conditions in Ajax
Exposed lakefront wind and slushy 401 commutes make wet and slush evacuation the priority. Add road salt and freeze-thaw potholes on Highway 401, Harwood Avenue and Kingston Road, and hardware choice matters as much as the headline spec.
- Soft roll-ups are the value pick; hard folding covers add security and a cleaner look.
- Retractable covers store in a canister and open the bed fully in seconds.
- Check compatibility with bed liners, rails and any racks you already run.
- Weather seals and drain tubes are what separate a dry bed from a wet one in freezing rain.

Tonneau Covers in Ajax: common questions
Does a tonneau cover improve fuel economy?
Modestly — typically a couple of percent on the highway. The dry, secure bed is the bigger practical win.
Can I still haul tall loads?
Folding and retractable covers open fully in seconds, so the bed is available whenever you need it.
Do hard covers handle snow load?
Quality hard covers are rated for several hundred pounds of evenly distributed snow. Clear heavy accumulation anyway.
