Douglas All-Season review

Douglas · All-Season Passenger · All-season (M+S)

The cheapest credible new tire in America. Built by Goodyear for Walmart, it is safe and honest transportation rubber — not a tire to push hard in the rain.

The verdict

Douglas is Walmart's house brand, produced by Goodyear. The All-Season is the default answer when a commuter car needs four tires today for the least money. Dry braking is acceptable, tread life reaches the mid-40,000s with rotation, and the ride is softer than the price suggests. Wet braking is where the savings show up: expect noticeably longer stops than a Michelin or Continental, and reduced confidence in standing water.

Pros

  • +Lowest per-tire price of any name-backed new tire
  • +Backed by Goodyear manufacturing and a 45,000-mile warranty
  • +Installed same-day at most Walmart Auto Care Centers

Cons

  • −Long wet braking distances versus premium all-seasons
  • −Not 3PMSF rated — light snow only
  • −Limited size range above 17 in.

Fitment and best use

Compact and midsize cars, 14–17 in.. Best for commuters replacing four tires on a tight budget.

About Douglas

Walmart's house brand built by Goodyear. The floor of the market for a new, warranty-backed tire. Manufactured by Goodyear (United States (Walmart exclusive)). Typically ~55–65% less than premium than premium equivalents.

Watch out: Wet braking distances and no snow certification.
