Where NS Wheels sits
Entry-level pricing. Fine for low-mileage drivers, spare sets and older vehicles, but stopping distances and tread life trail the big names — never the choice for a heavy winter commute.
Strengths
- +Lowest out-the-door price in the catalog
- +Fine for low-mileage drivers, spares and older vehicles
- +Available in almost every common size
Watch-outs
- −Longer wet and snow stopping distances than premium tires
- −Faster tread wear and more road noise as the tire ages
- −Not a substitute for a dedicated winter tire in Ontario
Should you buy NS Wheels in Ontario?
Best treated as a short-term or low-mileage solution. If this is your only set through an Ontario winter, spend up a tier or run a dedicated winter tire.
