Sailun Terramax CVR review
Sailun · Crossover / SUV Touring · All-season (M+S)
The value-segment benchmark for crossovers. Quiet, long-wearing, and priced like a house brand despite being a real manufacturer's product.

- 65,000-mile treadwear

Sailun owns its factories — including a Vietnam plant — rather than licensing a name, and the consistency shows. The Terramax CVR rides quietly on a heavy crossover, holds its tread past 60,000 miles for most owners, and behaves predictably in rain. It will not match a CrossClimate 2 in an emergency stop, but the gap is far smaller than the price gap.
Pros
- +Excellent tread life for the money
- +Genuinely quiet on the highway
- +Broad SUV and crossover size coverage
Cons
- −Wet braking trails premium touring tires
- −Sidewall flex under heavy loads
- −Snow performance is light-duty only
Fitment and best use
Crossovers and SUVs, 16–22 in.. Best for crossover and suv owners chasing cost per mile.
About Sailun
Owns its plants rather than licensing a name, which shows up as consistency. The strongest all-round value brand. Manufactured by Sailun Group (own factories) (China / Vietnam). Typically ~40–50% less than premium equivalents.
Watch out: Peak wet grip still trails premium touring tires.

One of the very few 3PMSF-rated tires at this price. If you see real snow a few times a year and can't run two sets, it is the value pick.

The value all-terrain that keeps showing up on overlanding builds — most of the capability for half the money.
