Nankang SP-9 Cross Sport review
Nankang · Crossover Touring · All-season (M+S)
Taiwanese engineering with better consistency than most import labels — a sensible middle rung on the value ladder.

- Where to buy
Nankang has been building tires since 1959 and its quality control is a step above the newer distributor brands. The SP-9 handles crossover weight without wallowing, resists uneven wear, and holds a respectable dry line. Rain performance is competent rather than confident.
Pros
- +Long-established manufacturer
- +Good structural stability under crossover weight
- +Reasonable noise levels
Cons
- −Wet grip below sub-premium tires
- −Fewer US warranty service points
- −Light snow only
Fitment and best use
Crossovers and SUVs, 16–22 in.. Best for crossovers where cost per mile matters more than ultimate grip.
